Today is officially two weeks since arriving at FCI Lompoc 1. It has been an eye opener for sure for someone who has never even been in a drunk tank let alone a prison. The instuition is currently on a partial lockdown (no yard) and has been since before I got here. I have yet to see the yard just to and from the the gym, education and chow. Our dorm shares a small compound with another dorm of about 250 inmates. This morning woke up at 7:50am made coffee and went to check emails and had one from Kara and Michael Santos, while I was responding they called for a census count where we had to go back to our rooms. The census count we had to stand in our rooms with our id’s out. Once that was over they kept us inside until lunch time which was about 10:30. Went to lunch and had another chicken sandwich the chicken was dry. After lunch checked email. Had emails from Kara, Krosby, Kallen and dad. Responded to my dad since they locked down compound until 11:30. Went back up to room waited for to compound to open to go respond to Kara and the boys. After emails I went back to room where I had started reading Cameron Douglas- A long way home I have been reading since Sunday. It’s a very good book he spent time in the BOP. Took a break from reading and walked the compound for about a half hour to get some fresh air. Went back to room at 3:30 for 4pm count and read until we went to dinner at 5:15. We had so called pepper steak which consisted of small beef portions. After dinner checked emails and had an email from Kara. Went to the gym to work out from 6-7. Came back after gym and took shower then went to bible study from 8:30-9:15 and read until count then went to bed.
