The changes I would like to see implemented in the prison system is more opportunities for inmates to learn using the computer. Even without the internet – like microsoft programs (word, power point, excel, access, quickbooks, etc.). At the prison I am at we have the monitors, keyboards, and mouse but no pc unit (toweer). There is so many jobs that use these programs and college programs that are offered here at the camp (FPC Phoenix) but all assignments have to be done by hand.
Also I would love to see more apprenticeship programs offered attached with certification training programs so the classroom and the on the job training can go hand in hand.
