It’s Thanksgiving day and I pray that everyone is enjoying it with their families. For us behind fences, I pray that everyone makes the best of it. I really haven’t cared much for holidays since being in prison but I’ve come to understand the importance they serve in bringing people together. Even those in prison can come together even if it’s just saying happy holidays. I am grateful for my life that I am still alive. I am thankful for all those I love that are still in my life despite circumstances. I am thankful for the opportunities that God has given me such as going to college or even being able to write this journal entry. Lastly, I pray for everyone who is alone for this holiday or in shu. Hard times never last and we must always persevere.
