So after the chewing by the Asst Warden, the C/O’s started being a very little bit more interested in what was going on in here. The next week, they started hitting the “B” units. (That’s where a lot of the younger guys with the contraband are. Lots of phones etc.) Apparently, the lookouts for the units were doing their jobs, as the guards were not finding anything. Finally, the C/O’s brought a cart in and we all knew they found something! They came out with 3 bags of something, but I could not see what it was. I found out later, they decided to take all the clothes irons in the unit! They aren’t used for clothes here, they are used for cooking – the guys here make great burritos with them! There’s only supposed to be an iron or 2 in a unit to do clothes with and they had snuck in a ton. My understanding is the irons bring about $75 in here, so those bags were worth some money!
