Monday, March 11th
Slept waaaay too long today! I woke up at 6:30 and got a banana and some milk for breakfast. While trying to stay out of my cube mate’s way, I fell back asleep and slept for a couple of hours.
The 2 big topics in camp today were 1) the BOP’s budget cut’s and what impact it would have on us – both food and building maintenance. Many outside the BOP think the camps should be closed and the prisoners kept in home confinement. Oh, I wish! 2) For some reason the published menu for lunch and dinner was not followed. Not only that but what they did serve contained no meat at all, which might be against BOP rules. Cheese pizza and potato soup! Which neither was bad, but we called it Meatless Monday Interestingly, the people with food contracts ate well…wonder where our food goes!
I got my walking in and am up to 30+ pushups! Continuing to move up. After walking, I saw the bible study guys going into the chapel, so I joined them for today’s study. The discussion was about Judas. Did he get a bum deal? Did he think his betrayal would lead to Jesus’ death or maybe that Jesus would be able to save himself?
