I have already started to take some action. When I got here to Lompoc I got some bad news on the educational front. I actually graduated highschool in 1995. Had a graduation ceremony, got a paper diploma, all that. So Lompoc education department tries to verify my diploma and informs me that they are not able to. So I have my mother call the Anchorage school district. Apparently their records show that I am missing my last credit and a half and never received a diploma. They also inform us that the school I went to has been closed for several years. So here I am having to go back to school after 30 years. I was in classes for 2 months before I was able to test. I had to wait for them to convert from the written test to the computer ones. Fortunately I passed all 4 tests on my first try. Which was especially hard with the math. I had to learn things they didn’t even make mandatory for math when I was in highschool! Yet, I was able to pass the math and the 3 other subjects, social studies, language arts and science, I scored so high that it said I was college ready! YAY ME
