Journal Entry: Eduardo Luis Valdes-07/05/2024-Day 1024

Journal Entry

This week has been a blur, as it seems to have gone by pretty quick. I exercised some, and played a two-on-two basketball game in which I have not done in many years. It was exhausting, at times I was lite-headed and dizzy, but I had a good teammate and we won both games.

The following day I slept in and then rested some more throughout the day. My body was still trying to get over the pain, and I felt so tired as if my body was just trying to shut down. Thankfully I was able to make it out to the band room to practice with the Spanish Christian band for Sunday evening’s worship.
Today I was up early, drank my hot tea, emailed my parents and read my daily devotionals. I am in a good positive mood as the day goes by, sitting in the Chapel waiting for Muslim service to end, the sign-in sheets for the 2pm group is ready to go and not much more I can do while I wait.

4pm count went by, and I wheel Mr. Rivero over to the dining room, but the food did not look appetizing so we continued to the exit and back to the dorm.

After returning from the Jewish services this evening, I find out the hot water is out in our unit. Even though the shower was horribly cold, it was actually quite refreshing. Now, I am taking some time to myself to listen to the last few innings of the Marlins game and hopefully end the night on a positive note with a win.
