I have been low on Trulinks to email, so it has been hard to keep my commitment to journal more. I have been keeping myself to a stricter schedule that allows a more balanced lifestyle. Making sure that I get in all the necessary things, and new things that I am taking on. One such thing is an oil painting of my daughter Lisa, and granddaughter Jaelene. The time allotted me to paint causes me to have to reschedule other activities, but I find this responsibility great practice for the real world. Sometimes we will be forced to make adjustments, like it or not. Of course, in this circumstance, I love it, because I look forward to hearing about their response to the painting. It has been a blessing getting to know Lisa after so long estranged. Sometimes, it still feels a little awkward when time to hang up. We have not gotten to “I love you’s”, and I do not want to force her by saying it to her and her feeling obligated to respond in the same manner. I want her to feel comfortable in the development of our relationship. I am exercising patience. She is a bright young woman and has done exceptionally well for herself. I cannot wait to see her face-to-face for the first time, and the grandkids. Life is progressing in the right direction, and I am blessed and extremely grateful these days. Even when other areas seem to not measure up to expectations, I find plenty of positive things in each day to keep my gratitude and praise God.
