Journal Entry

Good Day, all. I pray all who are reading this are as blessed as I am blessed. I was trying to decide what to journal, and had a hard time thinking of something momentous or inspiring that I could share, but the truth is many times the days and weeks are just ordinary. We have been going through a lot of changes here at USP Thomson, and are still trying to get programs going. The laser tattoo removal program I proposed is still with the Warden and in the works, as well as the Life Coaching program. My days have been filled mostly with reuniting with my youngest daughter Lisa, and companioning my buddy Matthew, the disabled guy (who is STILL here for some reason). Lisa and I have been having some great discussions, many about God, and many about getting to know one another. I feel something deep down after being reunited with my child. Some is still the guilt of being missing all these years, but also a deep sense of fulfillment one feels when something important that has been missing is found. She is an amazing young woman, which is a lot considering the hardships she faced all her youth. My eldest daughter Felecia is getting ready to have her first child, and that is very exciting. All-in-all, life is going very well. I get to share with the new guys at each orientation, and always receive positive feedback, letting me know there are plenty of men that want change and are ready to break this vicious cycle. I am putting in for a transfer at the end of the year to go to California to be close to all my loved ones, but in the process will be out of visiting distance from Chuck and Linda, who have been an integral part of my journal all these years. But I am ready, and look forward to the new opportunities that a new facility will bring.
