Finished walking the first three miles in 40 minutes and 56 seconds. Completed the final three miles in 40 minutes and 42 seconds. Average walking times were: First three miles – 13 minutes and 26 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes 15 seconds per lap (Vuelta). Final Three miles – 13 minutes and 21 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 14 seconds per lap. I feel that my walking times are slower in the cold weather. The morning walk started out dark and cold. The rabbits were out grazing on the field. As the dawn sky appears, it started out with scattered clouds with tint of reddish color from the sun, it was a beautiful sight. However the moon was still in the western sky it was big and round. As the dawn sky became brighter the pastel colors of the sky with the clouds was in full display. The sun rise was spectacular it was beautiful with the huge orange sphere. Finished first three miles and had to remove my jacket, Beane and gloves. Worked don my ACE Class report – The Psychology of Incarceration and submitted to Prison Professor and Doris. Back to walking my final three miles in the bright sunshine. Finished walking at 9:10 AM. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court. Back to the unit at 9:30 AM. Had a nutty bar and some chips for snack. Showered at 9:40 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Lunch was served after at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, beans, salad, punch and a banana. Talked to Doris at 10:30 AM: Doris and Patches are well. Patches has been busy harvesting Persimmons, figs and apples. They will give some to Diana. Geok called to send her regards. I told Doris I have GED tutoring and Art History tonight. I will defer any sewing until tomorrow. Worked on my Spanish lessons. She read my ACE Class report and knew that’s what I have to do for early release.
Went to library to work on my Spanish lessons. GED tutoring from 12 – 2:30 PM. The GED tutoring included quadratic equations. I had to show several students how to use the calculator to program in the functions. They are slowly picking up the concept of Algebra and how to program the calculator. Mrs Hubbard was please with the efforts by the students. The course is getting harder. Back to the unit at 3:00 PM. Washed my laundry at 3:20 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Pork link, garnishments, mixed vegetables and punch. ACE Class Art History 1 6-7 PM and Financial Planning 5-6 PM. Finished my laundry at 6:00 PM. Back to the unit at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
