8/2/2023 Wednesday Daily Diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:10 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee, and watched the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 93 degrees F. Started the first load of wash at 5:30 AM. Started walking at 5:40 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:00 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, banana, roll and punch.

- Walk 6 miles.
- Read.
- Finish sewing jumpsuits for Penitentiary Inmates.
- Yoga.

Finished walking at 8:20 AM. Complete 6 miles of walking. Picked up commissary items at 8:30 AM, and spent $9.20. Went to the laundry room to sew and hem up some jumpsuits, while doing inmate laundry. 10:30 AM lunch. Luncheon menu: Salisbury steak, salad, apple, fries, and punch. Chad left this morning for a halfway house in San Francisco. Talked to Doris at 10:45 AM: She had an asthma attack but is under control with her medications. Kain was visiting the house after his delivery to Berkeley. Kain sent his visitation to visit me. The bank will issue a refund for our overpayment of the credit card. Finished hemming and sewing the jumpsuits at 12:00 PM. Finished inmate laundry at 2:10 PM. Showered at 2:30 PM. Started washing blankets and sheets, and monthly blanket exchange for inmates at the camp. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: ground meat, beans, salad, cheese, and punch. ACE classes – warehouse safety 4:30 – 5:00 PM and Hubble telescope 5-5:30 PM. Finished blanket and sheets at 6:30 PM. Read at the library from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Cleaned up at 8:00 PM. Finished drying blanket and sheets at 8:45 PM. The blankets take at least an hour to dry. Final census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 9:30 PM.
Today was a hectic but good day: Doris is well. Kain visited and will send in his visitation request. Finished Inmates’ jumpsuits. Finished blanket and sheet exchange for inmates. Just light Yoga stretching. Chad left for San Francisco.
