The morning started out bright, clear, calm and cool. The sun was above the Sierras. The lower atmosphere was hazy and the outline of the Sierras were barely visible. Looks like a lot of haze from the wild fire. Th rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, Labrona and family were grazing inside and outside of the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast, running around begging for food from the inmates. As the morning progressed, a slight breeze developed and made it pleasant for exercise. Walked 5 miles and jogged the final mile. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 26 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 15 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I sweated. Walked a few extra laps to catch my breath and cooled down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court in the morning sunshine until 8:25 AM. The Yoga practice was good as I exercised all phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose, visualizing my trip to Zion National Park driving through the the massive rock formations and walking in the wave rock formation, sedimentary rocks with pastel colors and the air was refreshing. Opened my eyes to the beautiful Blue sky with the half moon in the sky. Attended Beginning Spanish class from 8:30 – 9:30 AM, Theme for today was peace and prosperity. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM.
