The morning started out dark, overcast, hazy, breezy and cool – 55 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, heavily overcast except for partial clearing in the Southeast and mid West sky, the breeze made the temperature cooler. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on and they were testing their vehicles until 6:30 AM. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing inside the fence by the soccer field. Breakfast was served early, no wildlife appeared after breakfast, so inmates left their food on the ground, on the basketball court and by the entrance to the dormitory. The dawn sky was on display; red haze behind the clouds; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras amid the clouds: red, orange, yellow, light blue and blue sky; the 1/2 moon was in mid sky and was quickly shielded by the moving clouds. The birds appeared and feasted on food left by the inmates and foraged in the fields. The squirrels appeared later and feasted on their food. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking six miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 24 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga on the Basketball court until 8:40 AM, The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and 1/2 moon in the mid sky and a shielded sun rise. Opened my eyes to the cloudy sky. Walked another six miles until 10:20 AM. The squirrels were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, more inmates were walking and jogging on the trails and the autonomous car company was not testing their vehicles. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: fried fish sandwich, bread, beans, rice, apple and water. Went to Horticulture greenhouse with Shane to check out the work of Pedro Solano has done to transform the green house in the last couple of weeks. He cleaned up the place and repaired the sprinkler systems. Talked to Doris at 11:10 AM: Doris is well and rested. She fell in the kitchen and had to call Francis’s brother to help her get up. She will visit tomorrow and Christina is driving her to Atwater. She will stay home today. I will work on my book reports. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 11:30 AM. Checked email from Doris at 12:10 PM: Doris is well. She walked 9,354 steps, 17.3 inches step length and symmetry was 7.6%. Yesterday was the 428th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will visit tomorrow and Christina will drive her to Atwater. Had a short nap. Went to warehouse with Shane. I thanked CO Zaleski for the job and all the support he provided me through the years. He authorized Happy to send me to the front office on Tuesday morning. The warehouse staffs were having a pizza party and we joined in the festivity. Found out that Alam was fired from the laundry job because an inmate wrote a cop out about him charging $5 for a T shirt when it was supposed to be issue free of charge to new inmates. CO Zaleski finally purchase 2 pairs of electric scissors. Went back to the dormitory at 1:40 PM. Went to library to finish my Book Report Meaning From Data: Statistics Made Clear part 2. Completed my Book Report. Case Manager Mr Larsen asked me about Alam being fired from laundry. I confirmed that he was fired from laundry by CO Zaleski. Census count at 3:30 PM.
