What is one area of your life where you can start taking responsibility today? What’s the first step you’ll take to turn that challenge into an opportunity?
My incarceration, i accept the set backs that come along with being a felon. I also accept the set backs of being labeled a “PIMP”. In the past i was thinking irrationally which landed me in federal prison. I now know i have to narrate and orate my life story to act as a deterrence to young women following in my footsteps.
My current situation is NOT my final destination.
Knowing that i am a female felon with a negative label, i need to start looking into creating programs and housing for people like me. Society treat pimps different from prostitutes and not too many seem to understand the similarities and differences. Even sitting in prison i realized there’s not many resources to help us reenter back into society, it’s like the government has told us to “figure it out”. This is my opportunity to help people that can’t help themselves like me.
