The System is created to break us. I’ve come to the realization that I’m built for hard times. I will NOT be broken. Adversity builds character. I’ve become a better woman. I’ve gained so much knowledge in different areas. I’m very thankful for my mistakes because they led me to some great opportunities. YES IN PRISON! I didn’t get a fair chance in life with some of the options I had. That’s OK. Re-Entry means so much more to me now then it ever has. I never even paid attention to that word in my past prison experiences. They say if you knew better, you would do better. I didn’t know any better. Now I do. I see people leave this place and come right back because they didn’t have a plan. It’s true a man without a plan will perish. I challenge anyone reading this to please read the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. This book changed my life. Don’t just read it, seek first to understand!
