Winston Churchill once said, “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” That is so true. There is no situation in life where a bad attitude will make the situation better (well maybe in boxing or wrestling). A positive attitude though, is essential for a happy and fulfilled life. I had to learn to keep a positive attitude, no matter what. It’s not easy to do that, especially in the present environment where I am housed. I had to have the desire to have a good attitude and then began to work on it until it became a reality. Guys pass me everyday in the hallways and ask, “What are you smiling at?” Well, first and foremost, life has been good to me. I could’ve been dead, asleep in my grave, but here I stand with the ability to smile. See, a happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, it’s a person with a certain set of attitudes. In my life, an attitude adjustment was necessary. It was the change that made the difference on my outlook of life. No matter what, I remain positive. Inside, I may be hurt or upset but on the outside, I maintain the proper attitude and keep it moving. Attitude check for today….Smile, 29 more!
