As i constantly tell those i a currently encarcerated with you have to change how you look at life and interact with people if you don’t want to keep coming back to prison. what i mean is that making a conscious decision to be a socially functional person is a big step to staying free once your sentence is complete.
once you take this step to change who you are you can become a different person you create a different future than the one you had. if i stay the same throughout my sentence i will remain in the same mind-set that got me here. by taking the chance to become someone new and grow as a person who can openly communicate with others in a positive way will only benifit me. if i become a man who can talk to others without any ill motives and be willing to except critism as a tool to shape myself into a socially compatible person those who are looking for someone like me will more likely represent me and reference me to others.
so by taking the first step to being able to communicate with others positively is the best way to influence more opportunities to come your way.
