By lobbying to politicians and the news on T.V. getting the message out there on a broader spectrum of viewers because the public has to see the wrong that is being done to their own citizens of America. every one is impacted by crime and criminals but a majority of sentences are not for life. the fact of the matter is that many inmates will get out of prison regardless of the crime they commit and regardless of who they commit against. even if you use statistics it will show now days the recidivism rate percentage is much lower among inmates these days than they were 20 or 30 years ago. it is simply a new class of inmates coming in and much of them getting more time than is necessary because of ridiculous laws being passed during the tenure of politicians who have no regard for the damage they are causing to the families of the both the perpetrators and victims.

If you can get the public at large to join with you in this fight for reform using media outlets and the internet, get them interested in rehabilitation instead of punishment from prisons so that when inmates do get out they do not get out jaded by the system and willing to use this time to change for the better so they may stay free and become a productive member of society. i understand that not all inmates are the same but we should all be treated as humans who deserve a chance to EARN the right to getting out sooner by PROVING they deserve to do so through documented VOLINTARY treatment courses provided such by the First Step Act.
