Even in the simplest books such as fantasy novels you can find excellent examples of coaching if you look between the lines to what the author is saying. you find a mentor to some kid who is open to suggestion and going through trying experiences that shape his outlook on life. Usually, the mentor is and old sage of some sort and full of useful advice who himself could probably undertake whatever adventure the kid is going on but leaves it up to the new generation to complete so that they may find out what the world is like and how to interact with situations they would not run into had they not left home. morality and ethics come into play and based on the coaching of the mentor the kid becomes a hero at the end of the book. if you take this into your own life and not see it as just entertainment you can actually learn quite a bit about how to make big decisions in you life as if you yourself are a hero in training which in a way you are.
