Date I Read The Book:
Relentless By, Tim S. Grover May 17,2024-May 31,2024
Why did I choose to read this book?
I read this book because it was recommended to me by Barry my bunkie. He offered a few books and this one caught my attention.
What did I learn from reading this book?
From this book, I learned that there’s always room for improvement. Tim is a man that demonstrates his discipline and that not only expects but he demands the best from his trainees. Reading this book was awesome and also a great experience. It takes you from feeling good to great to unstoppable. There are days when I feel like a cooler, a closer and a cleaner. I am definitely a cleaner but I sometimes feel less than that. This is one of those moments. I just got to Sheridan Federal Prison Camp and I am still figuring out how to adjust and adapt myself to my life here. Being relentless is definitely a choice and I don’t always have it in me, but it’s something I strive for every day. Listening to Tim talk about how these athletes had so much grit in them, their exceptional work and his amazing support to make them relentless is emotionally demanding in a very positive way. I hope one day I get to meet Tim. 5 minutes of his time would fill my spirit.
How will this book contribute to my prospects for success upon release?
This book, I need and would study it. I will be asking Barry if I can borrow it to make notes on it, Tim throws off great inspirational quotes and paragraphs that would motivate me on a great day and on a bad day. I believe my prospects would acknowledge my motivation and my grit. By studying these notes when they are written, I would feed my mind with motivational thoughts. I will perform better daily in my different roles. I believe it can be applied to everything.
