Book Title: The Holy Bible
Book Author: The Holy Spirit
Date read: December 7, 2023

My book report will be on the bible. The bible was the first book i read when i came to prison in December 7th 2023. There were things i did not understand about the bible when i was in the outside world. I read the whole of the bible in two week by praying to the holyspirit to give me full understanding.
The bible is categorized into two different sectors, the old and the new testament. The bible was written by 44 authors who were inspired by the Holy Spirit to put together words for me to understand and guide me on how to live a holy life on earth. The bible has opened my heart to understand what God wants from me.

– Why I read the bible
At that point in my life, I needed healing, comfort, guidance’s and personal growth on how to live this life and understanding my purpose. I have been ignorant for a very long time but i know there was something missing in my life and that was understanding God’s love for me and what He wants from me.

– What I learned from the reading
I leant a lot from the bible and if i am to list them its going to be long but i will state a few key points which are: The escape from bondage in Romans 18, How to use your gift well and treating others in Romans 12. How to associate with Humble people and never to overestimate myself, parental counseling in proverbs 6, Time for everything in Ecclesiastes. I also learn how to be Christ-like and also all that has happened in my life is divinely orchestrated to help me be a better person.

-Summary
The bible revolves around me (humans) on how to be more Christ-Like and stand against the devil strategies.it also a reminder that God loves me dearly. I have to me accountable for my action, believe in God more, Trust in God always, Study His words often because His words stands forever (Isaiah 40 Vs 8)

-Some major key points i learnt in the Bible and how it has helped me
1) Accountability
I have never taken accountability for my actions. I will always blame others for my situation like finding self pity in the mist of the problem. But now i have learned how to accept my wrongs and learn from it and also by having a personal conversation with God through prayers. I always have instant peace afterwards
2)Forgiveness
I have been used, betrayed, belittled and lied on by friends and extended family and it grew into bitterness because i thought i trust them but after deeply reading the bible i came to understand that forgiveness starts with forgiving others. Since i have been forgiven by God who am i not to forgive?
3) God First/God’s Will
I used to be a track and field athlete and my specialty was long Jump. I took sports first before God and I was proud about it. I worship the long jump like my life depends on it. I trained so hard but never got the needed result of my hard work and if i got the needed result it will be called a “Fluke”. I remember getting so angry, sometimes i would lock myself in my closet and cry and question God. I would accept any negative things that come my way because i saw myself has a failure. But than after reading the bible, i came to understand that His thought are not mine non His ways (Isaiah 55 vs 8-9) His word says i shall have no other gods before Him (Exodus 20 vs 3).I everything i do i put God first and trust His will in my Life.
4) Faith
I lacked faith a lot. i used to be so negative about everything. I would doubt anything that comes my way, fear consumed me. Even when i pray to God, i still doubted Him because i never got any answer to my prayers ( i would say i was blinded). After reading the bible what helped me strengthen my faith was when i read about the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5 vs 25-34), The story of David, Daniel and the leper and the paralytic (Luke 5 vs 12-14) than i understood the power of faith, and this has built my trust and confidence in God.

Conclusion
I see myself has the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15 vs 11-32). These have helped me to talk about my story and teach others in prisoner how i overcome during storm and how i trust in God in the mist of these season. If God be for me who can be against me (Romans 8 vs 31)
