During my year of one-on-one therapy with Dr. Shear, she recommended this book. We were working on past traumas dealing with ptsd, depression & my identity problems. I would read this each week and we would go over it together and relate it to my life.
The main part of the story is the main character is on her “death bed” from an accident and death is able to take her down life courses that could have happened if she made different choices.
I for one always think about what my life would be like if I had made this change or that change because I think my life would have been better. But there’s no telling what other things happened based on that choice.
The point is everything happens for a reason. No matter how tragic. Dwelling on past decisions doesn’t help or change anything. The only ones we need to be concerned with are the one’s right now. And how they will affect our future.
