1- I chose the book about Tiger Woods life for obvious reasons he is the best golfer ever and maybe one of the best athletes ever. As an athlete when I was younger I wanted to be the best at whatever I did. I remember playing basketball outside of my house for hour and hours on end but it was nothing compared to what Tiger and his dad were doing. I am avid golfer and my kids golf a lot now so his story I could somewhat relate to.
2- With one of the most famous and richest atheletes ever to grace the planet Tiger struggled with basic life skills. His dad was a drill sergant, he did not have friends. His dad drilled Tiger for hours on hours on hours and would make him laser focused throughout his career. He had no social skills he was like a robot, he would not talk to media, he would not smile, the media was the devil. His family showed no emotion to anyone no hugs, no kisses, no I love you, no goodnight. He was so guarded fans thought he was just an a-hole. Later in his career and life these thing would come back to him. He seeked attention from hundreds of women while married. He had very low self esteem and go after women because of his fame and fortune. They would also flock to him because of it as well. But he was looking for that effection he never received as a child. He admitted to cheating over 256 times while married. I feel that with his upbringing of no famliy emotion, no friends, no family holidays it really hurt him later in life as a person and a husband.
3- I learned even though I am not a billionaire that I am in life. I have a loving wife, three beautiful sons, loving parents and loving and supporting in-laws, friends. I am able to go out in public without people watching me blow my nose and looking to fail. Again I am a billionaire in life and do not need anything more than what I have.
