This beautiful little book spoke to the courage and faith of the famous Corrie Ten Boom. A Holland woman whom helped many a Jewish family through providing a safe house for use in the underground routes for the Jews during the Holocaust. She was arrested and taken to 2 different concentration camps, yet never lost her focus or faith, even while losing her sister and father. Her story speaks a clear message, ” No Pit is so deep that God’s love is not deeper” which is a great truth to hold on to during the dark times, for sure. After the war ended not only did she help the Holocaust survivors, she also helped the NSB soldiers that were then alienated for helping the Nazis. This speaks volumes of offering love to those who need it most. And setting the example as well. Today I chose to be the example. I choose to continue to show grace to those who may not get it elsewhere. Her examples speak of the power in doing so, and I will strive to emulate this in any way and opportunity I can.
