Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

I choose to read this book as I have been studying the power of mind over matter and sent it to myself before coming to camp. Having read it three times, it is a reference for having definitive goals and setting your mind up for success.
It helps to distinguish the difference between temporary set backs and failure. The book outlines steps that are followed by every successful business person he interviewed. Written in 1938 the author interviewed over 500 of the most successful minds of his time including Ford, Edison and Carnegie. The common thread is they all had a burning desire and never wavered regardless of set backs to achieving an end result. Practical applications such as writing down what you want to achieve, financial and otherwise, and reading it every morning and every night until it becomes reality.

The book talks about the ether and how the human brain is a transmitter as well as receiver of information and transmits when it is operating at a high frequency, similar to how a radio works. That “gut feeling” you get about someone or something frequently can be attributed to this phenomenon. The book is a practical guide for anyone who wants to achieve
success, rid your mind of negativity and attract money as well as those who are “on the same wave length”. The principals taught have become very useful now and have added to the arsenals of knowledge I have gained that I will use when I return.
