A little about myself, I graduated from USF in Tampa, FL in 2008 during the Financial Crisis and could not find any work besides selling drugs. No company was hiring and where I did apply I was told I was overqualified. I sold drugs to make money and became heavily addicted to Oxycodone and OxyContin. When my habit reached a point of crisis and I could no longer support it, I committed armed robberies. Everyone who has known me since I was a child will tell you this is not the person I am and that I was not in my right mind. Let me add that nothing I write should be misconstrued as excuses for what I’ve done and in no way will I ever try to diminish the severity of my crimes. Unfortunately, I was sentenced under the now Illegal law of “924(c) stacking”, however this law in not yet retroactive so I am stuck with my sentence. That being said, I have tried to use my time wisely, completing countless drug, educational, and vocational classes. I have also completed my MBA through correspondence courses finishing with a 3.9 GPA. I currently have a compassionate release in the courts but have not heard anything for six months. This is just a tidbit of my rehabilitation since being incarcerated and I will write much more later. For now I just wanted to give a brief background of who I am.
