Biography Entry: Timeiki Hedspeth

I am an African American sentenced to an unusually long sentence in my opinion of 175 months (14 years and 7 months) for a white collar crime involving Mail, Bank, and Wire Fraud and Aggravated Identity Theft. I chose to proceed to trial and the result of that I received a trial penalty of a lengthy sentence. I have Criminal Justice background. Since I have been incarcerated I have endured a lot of heartache and pain. The most traumatic event was the unexpected loss of my only daughter in August of 2018. It has taken a toll on my mental health. I am trying to turn my pain into a purpose by focusing on my law degree. I want to be a defense attorney. After being incarcerated for 6 plus years I have learned to grasp wisdom and knowledge of the Federal Criminal Justice System as well as how the Bureau of Prisons operates, with the injustice and unfair politics that are being operated throughout facilities. I want to advocate for other individuals once released by starting a Non-Profit Organization called Fighting 4 Freedom. I plan to receive my Bachelor’s Degree and Jurist doctorate in the state of Texas or relocate to a state that enables you to be a lawyer with a prior conviction. With limited resources and assistance from the outside and inside, I want to be able to assist others with the help that they may need.
