My name is Ryan Reavis. I grew up splitting my time between West Los Angeles and North West Orange County. My Mom and Step Father are both Horse Trainers, and I grew up training western performance horses with my Mom. Later in life I broke away from the family business and worked in hospitality, working my way up from host to bartender, and then bar manager at the newest location in the chain in San Diego. After six years in the restaurant and bar industry I decided to take what I learned and apply in to sales. I was hired by a company selling residential construction projects, where after a challenging first few months, I excelled and became one of the top reps in the office. I have had troubles with drugs and alcohol throughout my life, but until shortly before I was indicted I never understood that my using was a symptom of deeper issues that I had never worked through. So getting sober was not enough. I realized I had to tackle the tough problems that got me using in the first place. I got a sponsor and began a 12 step program. I worked it honestly and didn’t quit when it got hard. My sponsor held me accountable, and for more than five years I’ve remained clean and sober and repaired the broken relationships in my family and regained the support of some of the best friends a person can have. My goals for the future are to earn an income day trading, and I want to start a business. I’ve read a lot of material about trading and I plan on earning enough money in the half-way house to invest in the equipment and capital to open a trading account, while at the same time practicing with paper money on the trading simulator. I also plan to utilize my ability to network and collaborate to build the right team around me to build my business. By the time I am released I will have at least 2 solid project summaries that I can turn into full business plans once I have the resources in the free world to research market data. I will follow the instructions of Mr. Santos and continue to learn through Prison Interns. I plan to spend a year in a half-way house saving everything I earn while at the same time building my network and obtaining funding for my project.
