Meet Miguel Venancio, a 39 year old entrepreneur, artist, and self improvement enthusiast. Currently incarcerated but not defined by his circumstances. Despite the challenges, Miguel has discovered new passions and continues to grow. He’s a devoted husband and family man, holding tight to loved ones through the struggles. With a background as a trusty/porter/janitor/courier work, and kitchen skills, Miguel has honed his work ethic by keeping the prison facilities and kitchen clean, and cooking and preparing the meals behind bars. Miguel is preparing for a future beyond the walls. He is a video gram and Texas Holdem fanatic, fishing aficionado, book worm and poetry newbie, finding solace in creativity. He’s also a fitness buff, working on his mind and body and overcoming fears like public speaking and marginalization. Miguel has a knack for business, having started small successful ventures in the past, and now eyeing the stock market and wanting to start his own company upon release. His achievements include earning his GED, enrolling in college courses and gaining certification in communication and one course away from certification in Criminology and Psychology, all while incarcerated. He even copyrighted his art and poetry showcasing his resilience. He is currently writing a book of paranormal activities, which he would be glad to share with the world. Despite his current situation, Miguel’s spirit remains unbroken, fueled by hope, determination and a smile that lights up the darkness.
