My Biography

1) Prior to Incarceration

I’m a Navy Veteran. I studied business management in college. And I owned my own commercial and residential fencing company.

    2) I’ve completed

    All of the Parenting programs
    The 9 month Threshold program
    The Non-Residential Drug Awareness Program (NRDAP)
    All of the book work for Custodial Maintenance, a vocational program (100 hrs..)
    Numerous Spanish-language courses
    Numerous leather-crafting courses
    Numerous referee classes for different sports
    The cognitive skills program, overcoming criminal thinking
    The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People course.

    Furthermore, I rebuilt the relationships between my kids and me,and between my mother and me,relationships that I had harmed due to past drug use.

    I”ve never had any negative incident reports. I started out at High security facility and have worked down to a Low.

    I have worked as a GED tutor, helping others achieve their high school equivalencies. I’ve been a Suicide Watch Companion for the past three years, helping prevent the psychologically compromised from hurting or killing themselves.

    3) Things being done now

    I surround myself by positive people, even having positive mentors in my life.
    I’m still a Suicide Watch Companion
    At 54-years old, I’m getting back into great shape, having a life and fitness coach help me.
    I’m reading great personal development books.
    I’m maintaining strong relationships with my kids and mother. Consequently, I have a great family support system in society.
    I work in the Unicor furniture factory. Also, I work for the compound on weekends and holidays.
    And I’m participating in and learning from this program, provided by Michael Santos.

    4) Plans for the future

    a. In Prison
    I”m about to start

    new Psychology courses
    the ServeSafe (culinary arts program) in the VT department

    b. In Society

    Following my release, I plan to stay in central Florida, working for an outreach organization that provides assistance to people incarcerated. Once I’ve completed my supervised release, I will return to my home in northern California, where I hope to be able to build on my outreach work.
