I was released from prison in September 2023, and since then, I’ve made a conscious decision to turn my life around by doing things the right way. The road hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve stayed committed, focused, and determined to build a better future for myself.
Since my release, I’ve taken every necessary step to grow personally and professionally. My hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. In January 2024, I was recognized as Resident of the Month at the halfway house. Just a month later, in February 2024, I was named Associate of the Month at my job. And by December, I had earned the honor of being named Associate of the Year. These recognitions are more than awards — they’re reminders that change is possible with the right mindset and effort.
Currently, I’m working toward becoming a Captain in my department — a role that brings me one step closer to my ultimate goal of becoming a Supervisor. I’m proud to say that I’ve now been out for 1 year and 9 months, and every single day, I stay focused on growth, accountability, and success.
I’m not just surviving — I’m thriving. And I look forward to achieving every goal I’ve set for myself.
