My name is Jenna Martinez born in the state of MN. I have lived in Denver, Co, since 2009. In 2018 I was arrested for drug trafficking in the State of Nebraska. I have a past of using drugs and selling drugs. I was caught up in what I thought to be an endless cycle. I caught a case in Colorado which led me to take a trip to sell more drugs to obtain a lawyer. Unfortunately, that trip led into a downhill spiral that ended up with an 84-month sentence with the feds. I am currently in a women’s Federal Institution where I am taking this time to make major changes to my life and move past mistakes. I am a graduate of St. Paul College, where I have received my cosmetology license. I have also obtained a dog training certificate through Century College. I am taking Michael Santos’ class and am amazed at how his book has already changed my whole thought process on the way I am utilizing my time in prison. I am determined to work hard so I can prepare myself for a better future and success. I will not allow this time or mistakes to define me as a woman. I have made so many improvements within myself and am working hard every day to set and achieve goals that will help me obtain the life I deserve.
