Biography Entry: Jeffrey Lamont Liddell

Hello World,

My name is Jeffrey Lamont Liddell Jr, and I would like to start my bio off by saying…. ” I NEEDED PRISON!”

Trust me, for the last 13 years every time I tell this to someone, either there’s an uncomfortable silence on the phone for a moment too long or if it’s in person, people tend to look at me crazy like I have an additional head attached to my body. It is what it is, through this journey, I’ve come to the place where I agree with law enforcement, the prosecutor, and the judge. ” I NEEDED PRISON”

The honest God’s truth is that without prison at the rate I was going, I would’ve A: been dead or B: just another selfish drug dealer selling poison to the community with every excuse in the book of why I’m doing it. But by the grace of God, instead of being dead or a useless dealer of some sort, I’ve unlearned majority of the garbage I learned from the time I was able to comprehend until my late 20’s because let’s face it… 95% of criminal thinking is flawed.

I guess what I’m trying to say without going on and on is that like Ryan Holiday says in the book ” The Obstacle Is The Way” I took the obstacle, which was doing time, for a crime that I committed into the way. Meaning I turned Federal Prison into my very own Harvard. And through this Harvard of mine I’ve dedicated myself to becoming a honest hard working man that not only my beautiful children could be proud of but, the very same community that I poisoned way back when.

Before you read more into my journey I would like to thank all of the moving parts at PrisonProfessors for giving others and myself this platform which gives us access to YOU a wonderful person who believes in second chances.
