My name is Jamie Petrone, a mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and friend. I am also a person with many strengths who made a poor choice driven by greed, which cost me my freedom. I am serving a sentence for wire fraud in Danbury, CT while my family serves this sentence along with me. Through this journey, I have been humbled and yearned for the day that I can return to my family and society to repay my debt and fill the many voids that my children have suffered. Since the start of my incarceration, I have maintained two jobs while participating in all course offerings presented and have also enrolled in external Paralegal studies. I hold my head high daily, oblige by the rules with respect and pray that by god’s grace opportunities which allow me to demonstrate that pathways to freedom through merit-based programs are a success.
