I am 66 years old and grew up in this area of Texas about 2 hours West/Northwest of Seagoville. Received High School Diploma, BS in Animal Sciences, and MST ( Master of Science Teaching) both from Tarleton State University in Stephenville Texas. Lived in Texas most of my life been Married for 44 years and have 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren. I was brought to prison for Wire Fraud under the development for putting money together to buy Oil and Gas leases for the purpose of rehabbing the wells to increase production. The economic variables in 2020, 2021, and 2022 really impacted the success of the projects, because we had calculated everything in post-Covid hoping to buy at depressed pricing and then be able to improve production and value as the economy strengthen. We missed the mark and were unable to hit targets. We didn’t plan well so the old saying you’re either “Failing to Plan so you are planning to fail” couldn’t be more true. I should have shut down but Pride, and being a people Pleaser stopped me from doing the right thing. So now in prison, I am truly apologetic to those who lost on my account. But I have also taken a deeper dive into who I am and what got me to the FCI. To work on improving to prevent this from happening again and moving toward a positive release in the future I am retraining myself. Currently taking courses in Cognitive Thinking, and Understanding my decision-making processes. Goal Setting, Business Planning, Criminal Justice classes, and Positive thinking and understanding the secrets of successful people through reading their Bios and Autobiographies as well self-help books. My goal is to rehabilitate my thinking processes. Set goals, develop a positive and trustworthy living, as well as carry that into the future upon release from BOP. This is the first time I have ever committed any illegal activity and working on a plan of action to move into being a positive role model for my children and grandchildren. So I am not letting this define who I really am.
