Journal Entry

I am in Danbury Federal Camp today is Weds. not much going on I wake up go outside as we have a beautiful view in the back and I read my bible and take notes and I am also working on a book to tell my life story to my kids. I have 4 daughters they are ages 40, 30, 26, and 24 they are nothing like me but each is a part of me. Two have their Masters’ Degrees, two have great careers (they all do now) So I am very blessed and lucky they are in my life and support their mom even though I am in Federal Prison…They could have turned their backs on me but they love me and didn’t walk away.

I was hoping to be in the FIT program and RDAP by now I was told I would move behind the fence and go to FSL to do these two programs, but I am still at the camp. I reached out on my own to AA Headquarters to get some help with my recovery and I did I got a sponsor and we do the steps and I am very blessed to have her as before there was no recovery here. It’s a new program to help inmates work the steps and has someone to talk to either by mail or corrlinks.

I want to be the best I can be when I leave here and even though I might be almost 60 I hope to get a job and work hard to have my “Best Life”. I have done a lot of soul searching and there are some things that I saw in my past that defined who I was today, as in I was an attention seeker, and that caused me to go down the wrong road in life. I make sure this time in my life I am not seeking others’ attention I am just blending in with the crowd so to speak. I also never had any patients and now I am teaching women here how to crochet I teach Advance Crochet and you know what they all say I have patients…if you asked one of my daughters they would laugh and say “My mom? no way…

so I am trying everyday to be a better person…

I have been reading a lot of Colleen Hoover she is a great writer very impressed with her books November 9th is a must-read…Stacie Caldwell 26067509
