My name is Nichole Freeman. I am currently serving a 78-month sentence here at FCI Waseca. One impulsive addiction-driven decision brought me to prison that ultimately changed my life forever. I am here for the importation of meth. There is not a day that goes by that I do not regret that horrible decision I made. Despite it all, my crime does not define who I am. I will leave here better than who I was when I came. I refuse to remain stagnant and am ready to start making necessary changes to my character and gain as many skills as possible to take back into society once I am finally released. I will not waste any time. I am committing to as many programs as I can get myself signed up for and into. I will track and keep a record of my progress in my daily journals as I make my way through this journey. Like my mom always says, I will aspire to be the change I wish to see in this world.
