On June 26th, the Peer Success Team in C4 led their first Spirituality Workshop. It was sparsely attended, mostly by the “plus 1s” of the Team’s mentors. This was to be expected, given the dormancy of the C4 Team of late. That, and spirituality is not the most flashy of topics.

However, as one of the eight spokes of the Wellness Wheel (the Wellness Wheel is one of the core concepts for Peer Success), spirituality is a topic that deserves attention. The mentor leading the workshop, Leslie Kingrasaphone, took care to differ between religion and spirituality so our session did not take on any over tones or make anyone feel uncomfortable.

Leslie addressed the need to connect with one’s inner voice, to find a measure of peace within oneself and how we are connected to each other. Everyone who attended made some small contribution describing how they unplug from the chaos we dwell in and even brought out some new ideas for the group.

It was a calm, peaceful time and I think many of those present left feeling rejuvenated.

Overall, Leslie did a great job!
