Journal Entry

  • Step aerobics with a very large group of women on the pickleball court. Lots of fun. -Painted murals on Sunday for a little bit.
  • Finished the book “12 Rules For Life”.
  • Started a book my friend finished, “The Music Shop”. I love collecting records and listening to them every day at home, so I thought this book would be fun to read at night when I unwind. -Sent more journal entries to my friend for P.P.
  • Sent book report to friend for P.P.
  • Took a long walk with my close friend outside and soaked up the sun next to our garden. I’ve been learning so much from my ICEV Nutrition class, especially this week regarding vitamins. I took the time to soak up some sun and fresh air. It’s also nice to walk and talk deeply about things with a good friend and share with each other.
  • Helped the older lady paint the cityscape mural on Monday.
  • I was offered a job by Coach, who said that the woman who cleans the staff bubble is going home and the officers need a new bubble orderly. At first I considered accepting the job, however I gracefully declined the opportunity. I realize that I don’t need to accept every opportunity that comes to me. Some opportunities, however positive, can be passed up. Even behind the wire, I’m very active and busy. I’m careful to manage my time appropriately to accomplish what I need to for a successful future.
  • Listened to an incredible new podcast, “Women of Impact”, recommended to me by my coach. -Sent more journal entries to P.P.
  • On the 4th, ICEV Nutrition class 7:45am.
  • Great bonding conversation with my two bunkies, who are very close friends. They are good, positive company that I stay close to.
  • 5th: Picked up a great free book today! It’s The Audubon Society’s North American Field Guide to Mammals. I’ve started going through it and highlighting parts and putting sticky notes on pages for animals that reside in Oregon.
