Another day that I awaken and am thankful and grateful for it. I think about how it would feel to be back in society. What would my first day be like? What would I want to do? I know the first day would be a blur as I’m sure my family would want to just have me laughing and playing family games. I get nervous at the thought, as it has been close to three decades since I have been home. I know I will do good, because I am focused on what I want and need to accomplish. Yet I know I would love to just relax for a bit and take it all in. Live a life of gratitude, knowing I am so blessed.
