“And this Qur’an is not such as could ever be produced by other than ALLAH(Lord of the Heavens and the Earth), but it is confirmation of (revelation) which was before it [i.e.. the Torah, and the Gospel] and a full explanation of the Book (i.e.. laws decreed for mankind) Where in there is no doubt-from the Lord of the AL Amin (mankind,Jinn, and all that exists).”
I have been incarcerated for over 22 years. I have read over 500 books. I first started reading the Qur’an in 2023 while in the SHU (hole), seeking protective custody. At that point I had been incarcerated over 20 years but had never read the Qur’an. As soon as I started reading it I experienced a great feeling of peace. many of the questions I had about my purpose on earth were answered for me. I actually earned an Associates degree in Biblical studies but still those questions had gone unanswered.
What I love most about the Qur’an is that it explains in detail how I should live to be righteous and live a Godly life. Do this, don’t do that, don’t do forbidden things, pray, fast, give to the needy , do good deeds. It is simple It is not an overstatement when I tell you that this book changed my life. I love being a Muslim. I know now that I will live a righteous life, free of crime thanks to Allah (SAW) sending this book to the Prophet Muhamad(PBUH).
