Act as a direct line of communication between the inmate community and the staff and responsible for keeping staff and all community members fully informed non all community issues.
Assume personal responsibility for the completion of all tasks as well as the manner in which they are performed.
Created and directed community building activities and designed the dorm’s bulletin board.
Preside over and run the morning meetings, ensuring the spirit and functioning of the meeting reflect the level of pride and organization of the community.

Assist in painting two ~12’x42′ wall murals inside the lounge.
Responsible for care and maintenance of all supplies and ensure all is locked up after every use.

Maintained high sanitation standards of all common areas.
Responsible for general maintenance and care of appliances, exercise equipment, and supplies.
Communicated with staff to ensure proper PPE was provided, and with other shifts to guarantee supplies and caustics were properly distributed.
Horizon Communities in Prison Faith and Character Based Residential Program
Peer Facilitator, December 2023 – June 2024
Taught participants 2 daily mandatory REEFs and 2 weekly other character and business-related classes.
Devised and coordinated a community outreach activity to send handmade cards to a local wildlife rehab.
Prepared lesson plans, logged participant progress, and graded participant homework.
Acted as conflict resolver for participants, template and agent of change, encourager, and motivator.
Provided peer counseling, accountability, and overseeing of small groups and weekly community meetings.
Elected as Activities Chairman, Evening Cleaning Captain, and Arts and Crafts Chairman by the community.
