Journal Entry

This is how my days go in February 2025…this is a part of my record keeping.
I start my day at 4:45-5:am everyday even weekends I get up wash up and start cleaning my small walk-in closet. With the light off quietly cause my bunky is still dreaming. They open the doors at around 5:45-6:15am depending when counts clears. I run to shower number 5 because it has a broken shower head and comes out nice and hot. We only have a small thin shower curtin that doesn’t really cover the shower. I have two long towel that I use to cover the sides cause we have male officers plus all the other AIC’s that walk right pass the showers. I take around 10 to 15 mins either way I am always rushing so I can make it to breakfast nothing is on schedule here so have to be ready for anything at any time. After taking a shower I dress with my bunky in the room so I try and stay in a little corner by the door with a small open window. At any time someone (AIC or Guard) could open the door exposing me so I rush to get dressed. After getting dressed and putting everything up I prepare to do my salat (prayer). Mainline (breakfast) is called making sure all of my stuff is put up, I get my ID and put it around my neck and head out to eat. I always walk some what slow to take in the weather and appreciate the day that God has let me experience. As I get to mainline I walk to the front due to me being on a commonfair meal. I greet the lunch ladies and tell them to have a great day. I sit alone to gather my thoughts on my to do list for the day is. After eating and exiting mainline I walk somewhat slow and take in the wind in my face and sun light try to hear the birds and any smells that might be new to me wondering what going on beyond the sharp barbed wire fences. When I get back to the unit I make sure that we are inspection ready and wipe down the small walk in closet from top to bottom. I then grab my cup of coffee that I prepared the night before, also grabbing my tablet and put my earphones on to listen to my music. I try not to listen to the talk from AIC’s easier not to get my thoughts wondering about thing that don’t matter. I start walking to the hot pot feeling that I am going to have to stand in line I relax my mind and think about anything I am missing on my to do list. After 5 to 8 mins. I get my hot water and mix the contents and smell the coffee as my mouth waters I savor the moment, in here those are everything. I walk to the computer room and again wait in a line to use the computer by this time it’s around 7:30am. I sit at the computer after waiting about 5 to 8 mins. I log-in excited to see what messages I may have gotten over the night from family members, Michael Santos and or legal notifications to see what i may need to add to my to do list. If I didn’t get anyone I usually tell my self they will come in later in the day cause the system is behind. Then I do give myself a reality check and remember what it was to be in the world and all the stuff I had going on and just couldn’t wait for my pillow to hit the bed. So I ease down and relax taking a way any negative thoughts that might be try to creep up on me. After answering any messages or sending one or two I read the bulletin board to check to see if there’s any new classes coming up or changes on the compound. After I finish with the computer I walk to my small walk in closet and grab my planner an dictionary and things that I need for the law library. Waiting on the 8 o’clock controlled move which is never at eight, I open of my planner and read and go over everything that’s on my to do list. The 5 min controlled moved is opened at 8:12am I walk through the compound which it the longest way, Haven for bid you take a short cut you will received a shot so in the 5 mins they give us to walk to our destinations I barely make to to education. I go early every morning because usually there’s not that many people there. I spend my time looking up appeals like mine pretty time consuming but interesting to read some of the cases some times I get caught in the case and can’t stop reading. The law library kicks everyone out from 9:55-10:15am when another move opens up at that time a yard recall is called back to the units. I headed back to the unit again and stand in line to check my messages. I put my ear phones on and try to hear the news while I wait just to keep updated with the things that are happening in the outside world. After computer time I walk to my closet and review my list of words that I am learning to add to my vocabulary. I spend about 15 mins on that then get the information that I wrote down in the law library and run through it to see out it pertains to my case. I put all the notes together with what I already have I do this till they call for mainline (lunch).
