Journal Entry

Today I decided that I was going to lose between 20-40 lbs more than I already have . I realize that I not only need to focus on work and classes in here but also on my health. Health might be the most important aspect of success to me. with out a healthy body its surely hard to have a healthy mind. Being a type 2 diabetic makes it even more important. I have reached some milestones due to changing my eating habits. I am no longer taking Insulin daily due to the fact that i have lost 25 lbs in the last 6 months. I have been able to control my blood sugar levels thru eating less and taking the self carry medications. but I’m ready to make the next step to improve my health. I walked 2 miles this morning and will walk again after dinner tonight .I will steadily increase the distance over the next few weeks. My goal is to walk 6 miles daily by the end of the month and 8 the following month. by April i want to be walking 10 miles a day. This way i can build up my resistance and be able to handle the hot summer months better. If i can shead this weith it will greatly improve my quality of life. so im committed to walking atleast 6 days a week for the next few weeks and see what happens. I’m about to go read for a while and will be doing a book report soon on some new books i have completed reading.
