A personal mission statement could help me focus my efforts and build a sense of higher purpose and drive within me. As of now my personal mission statement has been, ” To become the Man of God I am created to be ” This has helped me tremendously in prison to navigate the many pitfalls and decisions we must make here. It has helped me stay grounded and focused during times of elation and adversity.
Once I’m released I plan to refocus my mission statement to the new challenges I will face of building trust with my family, community and work life.
