Journal Entry: Steven Eric Strauss-09/28/2024-Income after prison….

Journal Entry

Here is my thoughts on your question about financial upon release from prison. As I stated in my writings I am JM Carpenter our of the Pacific NW Carpenters Union-Commercial concrete. I make on a average 6 figures without overtime pay. I am working here in CMS Electrical as apprentice electrician and earning $50 dollars a month. I have adjusted to surviving without any income from the outside world. I had asked my brothers for some birthday money last year and each of them have there own families and bills that need to be taken care. I DO NOT want to be a burden to my family, children and friends. I have always supported myself and that is what I have been taught by my father and mother. I have been released from Washington State DOC work release program with tens of thousands of dollars on my account from my paychecks and that has always been enough for me to start over with nothing other than the money I have earned and saved while being in work-release house. For me I just need the opportunity to get to the halfway house so that I can contact the union and be dispatched out to work. Now, I will need to by clothing and tools to work and that should be around 15k-20k. And of course I will need to renew my drivers license because it has already expired. Looking forward to being a participant and future co-helper within your non-profit Mr Santos.
