Today’s Response:
Prison will weaken you in every area of your life if you let it. Emotionally, physically, mentally, educationally, technoligically, and so on. The strategies I use to grow and strengthen my mind and body and family, are like what Mandela and many others did:

  • Get into a productive routine – don’t sleep in all the time, stay busy all day
  • Things that benefit you and make you stronger – daily workouts that push your body, reading to learn new things, writing to keep in touch with family, friends, and mentors
  • Find your Higher Spirit – I read the bible because I am a Christian, and that sacred text gives me strenght and positivity. Many other religions have the same type sacred texts that provide the same type reading.
  • Journaling – writing down what I did that day, what I learned that day, and venting are ways to grow emotionally while locked up.
