I am working on a number of projects that combine 2 of my favorite hobbies, science fiction and creative writing. The first major writing project is a full size novel called “Pentel 2222”, which is a science fiction techno-thriller. A group of explorers, led by a synthetic human named Pentel, dive to the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean, the Mariana Trench. There, the group of six scientists discover remnants of an ancient alien civilization while exploring caverns seven miles beneath the surface of the ocean. Pentel 2222 includes a satisfying mix of high tech and international intrigue to go along with the science fiction and fantasy elements.
The second major writing project is a treatment named “Finishing Time” that picks up where H.G.Wells’ “The Time Machine” story leaves off. Wells returns as the time traveler who decides to live out his life with the woman he loves who lives in the future. The story contains an interesting mix of science fiction with social and ethical issues that Wells needs to overcome.
