4/24/2024 Wednesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 71 degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: cereal, cake, apple and water.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 4/23/2024.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. ACE Class – History of Great Art Part 2, 6-7 PM (Hosting).
  9. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.
  10. Commissary.


The morning started out cloudy (nublador) and a little cool (frio), grey clouds were all over the sky (cielo) not a single patch of Blue sky (cielo is Azul). The rabbits (Conejos) were out grazing by the basketball court. The sun could not break through the clouds,, I could only see a faint image of the sun amid the clouds. I have not seen the moon (Luna) for a few weeks (varias semana). As the morning (manana) progressed, the sky got brighter. The rabbits left the soccer field and grazed at the baseball field, except (excepto) Labrona which continue grazing by the basketball court. Completed walking (caminar) 5 miles and jogged (correr) one mile at 7:40 AM (son las siete y curenta), in 1 hour 11 minutes and 17 seconds (un hora, once minutoes y deisiciente segundos). Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 53 seconds (once minutoes cinquenta y tres segundos) per mile (milla) or 1 minute and 59 seconds (un minutoe cinquenta y nueve segundos) per lap (vuelta). The pace was fast (rapido) and I worked up a sweat (sudar). Stretched (estirar) and split stretched at the basketball court until 8:10 AM. Cleaned the computer room (limpiar cuartido computador). Had some chips, celery (apio) and an apple (mangsana) for snacks (Bocadillo). Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8624 steps, 16.8 Inches (pulgadas) step length and symmetry was 68%. Yesterday was her 93rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will be meeting with Thomas Johnson assistant to sign the release papers to liquidate my retirement accounts to pay for the restitutions. UPS will deliver some papers from Charles Schwab for her to sign. She will work on her Panda bear design and walk outside while the weather is good (Hacer buen tiempo). I will call her after her meeting around 1:00 PM (a las una). Showered (ducha) and changed (cambiar) to BOP uniform. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, potatoe (papas) wedge, an apple and water.. Went to sewing room: exchanged XL shirts for Albert, exchanged 2 XL T-shirts for Rich, exchanged beane and laundry bag for Freddie and exchanged blanket for Albert. GED/ ESL tutoring (Ensenar) 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Talked to Doris at 1:00 PM: Doris is well. She signed a lot of documents too help liquidate my retirement accounts to pay for my restitution: Charles Schwab, Nationwide Retirement account, Citibank and Chase. She also received a package from Charles Schwab to notify the person who is coordinating the liquidation. I told her the Nationwide Account is for our retirement and Charles Schwab account is for us to trade stocks. Thomas Johnson’s assistant came late, so they started out late and she just left. Doris ask her to have Thomas Johnson brief her on what will happen next. She has not walk yet but will start walking inside as it is starting to get cold outside. When she went outside to let the dogs out and checked on the tomato plants. She will work on her Panda Bear design. Doris did s good job handling the household affairs. I will call her tonight . GED/ ESL sessions went well, students are picking up algebra well. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: ground meat salad, beans, carrots and water. ACE classes – History of Great Arts Part 2, 6-7 PM (Hosting) and Introduction to Economics 6:30-7:00 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Census count at 9:00 PM. Cleaned at 9:10 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8624 steps, 16.8 Inches step length and symmetry was 68%. Yesterday was the 93rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She handled Thomas Johnson and the restitution case well. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Attended an hosted ACE Classes. Good GED/ ESL tutoring sessions.
