I try to stay positive through the many years I have already done. I remember when I first started my incarceration. I was overwhelmed at the 22-year sentence so I set small goals to reach to help break up the time. I wanted to complete the PAWS program. After I accomplished that I went to work at UNICORE only to find out that sewing was NOT my calling. So then I signed up for Horticulture. I spent one year in that program and learned so much before I was transferred to Carswell to do THE LIFE CONNECTIONS program Which I completed along with surviving two bouts with Covid. I was transferred back to Waseca and I did one more year of Horticulture and was finally transferred to a camp. I am working on an Associates Degree in Business now. I will continue to stay on a plan for the remaining 9 years I have left.
